On January 30, 2001, someone stole some credit card statements from my mailbox and cancelled my credit cards. Capital one was one of them. The person who did, was able to CHANGE MY ADDRESS without knowing my social security number or my mother's maiden name (which is always provided on any credit application for "security reasons"). On February 3, 2001, I went to Capital One's website to check my minimum payment and pay it. When I got there, my account was restricted. I called Customer Service, and that is when I found all of this out. I'm annoyed that your company has declined to send me the Affidavit you said you would send me, and that you had sent out a new card within 24 hours of the person's call. I had to put a password on my account when your customer service reps should have verified my personal information BEFORE sending out and cancelling my credit card. I'd like to have the affidavit sent, the "lost/stolen card" notation removed from my credit reports, and I'd like to have a credit line increase for my trouble. What do you guys think?
Letter sounds good. Sorry to hear about your troubles, that really sux. Keep your chin up E! I think you should be able to get Mr. Cooke to help you out here. Good Luck. -Peace, Dave
Thanks for the vote of confidence D- I really appreciate it. This happened with FCNB too! Believe it or not. I was FURIOUS!!!! How's things in the Capital City? Progress with the Pentagon yet?
Things are slowly getting back to normal with the Cherry Blossom season bringing tourists back to DC. The Pentagon is expected to be finished AHEAD of schedule and they are predicting it will be fully complete before the 1 year mark. How is the not-so-deep south? Are you getting used to the pace? Everything is on Peach street down there isn't it? Not sure if that makes things easier or harder. Hope you and Shawn are well. When is the baby expected? ) BTW tell Shawn to get his butt back here also, we miss you two. -Peace, Dave
WOAH!!!!! You know something I don't know???? I'll let you all know when the first Creditnet baby is due, whenever that happens. I promise!
