I am a newbie here, although I've already posted a couple times. I'm not quite as knowledgable as most of you, so I was hoping some of you could give me insight into how to handle my personal situation.

    My FICO is 566.

    On my report I have:
HSBC credit card opened in 97 (balance: $2150) that I never made payments on until about 6 months ago when I joined CCCS (yes, its still in CCCS. Many many lates on this account, closed by credit grantor.

2 student loans both listed with HSBC AND Nyshesc. A total of 4 listings on my report. Totaling about $8000. Was in default/collections, sold to Nyshesc, where I am currently making on time payments (on my way to rehabilitation).

Chase Auto Lease from 2001 (most owed $8096)that is listed as open/never late/$0 balance, but in actuality this account is closed.

Volkswagen Credit from 2001(balance $10,388) that is open with a couple lates.

Old credit card, closed by consumer, 1 late. Most owed $500.

First Premier credit card $200 limit, open, never late.

    American Express, closed, never late.

    2 collections:
1 for $67 that is marked as paid but open
1 for $180 that I paid but is still reflecting a balance (I have no proof of payment, and never receive letters from CA anymore) and listed as open.

Also, many inquiries on my account. All mine.

Nothing here is really old enough just to wait out (SOL)...

I just tried disputing the 2 collections online...dont know the outcome yet though.

    Anyone have any thoughts?
