Hello, I disputed a negative account from "fingerhut" that was showing on my credit report with transunion and it came back deleted! I also got 4 notices in the mail that I was approved for 3 different cards and 1 notice stating the im in the process of a reconsideration. Apparently, TU sent out back copies of my reports to lenders that I previously applied for. So, heres my credit portfolio now: 1. Discover Student 1000 limit 2. Providian getsmart 1000 limit 3. Cross Country gold 350 limit 4. Cross Country gold 350 limit 5. Citibank Platinum 5400 limit 6. GM card 1405 limit 7. Household gold card 1500 limit 8. Capital one gold 4100 limit 9. Citibank AA (new, limit?) 9. Lerner charge card 300 limit 10. GMAC car loan 22000 11-? LOTS of student loans! a couple of questions: has anyone ever combined 2 cross country cards? Ive had my car loan going on 8 months, should I wait to refinance and who will be good to refinance with? Thanks! PSUgirl
Was it your first time disputing Fingerhut? I've disputed twice and they keep getting verified!! They're on all 3 Credit Reports. I sent them a validation letter and they signed for it on Jan 7 but still no response. Should I keep disputing? They also verified while they had the validation papers. Is that a validation? Actually I disputed the collection agency Northland Group, Inc since they contacted me and I sent them the validation letter w/in their 30 days. Should I have also sent one to Fingerhut? Janet
It was my first time disputing Fingerhut. I disputed online. I also sent Fingerhut a valadation letter. they did sign for it, and i havent heard anything back from them yet also. So, Im not sure what to tell you. Never give up and try disputing online. I also have them on my experian as a charge off, and equifax as a positive account. I never heard from fingerhut. I dont remember having any affiliation with them. So, well see what happens. My disputes havent come back yet with experian and equifax. good luck
Remember Fingerhut has problems. They are up for sale. Currently you can not use the card. Now probably is a great time to dispute.
