Well, all my validation letters are out - it has been very interesting to see the "results". One - EMCC - pulled a hard inquiry on my transunion the day they signed for my letter. I received a phone call from another today - Axys/Fingerhut. The guy stated he was from credit advantage card services associated with fingerhut. He said they received my letter but couldn't help me with what I needed because they are not required to keep records beyond 2 years!!!!! Can you believe he said that? I can't! So, they can't validate the amount they say I owe. He suggested I look for any statements I have to get the info I need. I have disputed this account as not mine, but they verified it. So, I am assuming they are not going to be able to validate this account based on the call I received today.

He suggested I look for my statements since he has some belief that they don't have to validate. Now, how am I supposed to find statements for an account that is not mine???? Delete it or suffer the consequences Go ahead, have some fun with them LOL.
Re: Re: My validation updates LOL! I already started having fun with them the minute they called. I kept asking him - "you are calling from where and you are associated with who"? LOL!! I just couldn't believe they called to tell me they don't have my records. I wonder if he was kicking himself when he realized my answering machine recorded the entire conversation - or could they really be that clueless?
