Okay, I am a newbie and I JUST got my credit score from Equifax.. My credit score is 602. Here's the odd thing, my score is so low because of "the length of credit history" and "acct in collections" (would you believe a friggin library book??) Other than that tha everything thing is CLEAN... Which is VERY odd.. I had one credit card that I didn't make a payment on for a year. It went to 3 collection agents before I settled it. I settled it in Dec. of 00. 6 months ago when I got a credit report, all 3 collection agents were on there. Today, they have ALL mysteriously disappeared. I am confused????
did I mention that Equifax has my Birthdate COMPLETELY wrong, year and day... as well as my address, they least a previous address as a current address and my current address (over 2 yrs.) as my previous address.. How do I fix this??
Don't be. Shut up and say "thank you" Actually, I had a paid charge-off that was still showing as unpaid on TU (EQ and EX showed paid). I disputed it and now it's gone from all 3. Don't know how or why but I'm not complaining.
Yeah, really. Be grateful, LOL. The address will fix itself after a while. Don't do anything until you see if these come back. If not, then fix the address and dispute the library book thing.
