Nasty TL reported wrong...HELP

    We had a cell phone with Cellular One a few years ago. They were bought by Verizon. We finished our contract in Feb 2003. I paid the final bill in March 2003. Last September (2003) they added a collection to DH's CR. (7mos later). I have disputed several times to no avail. This account is reporting so wrong on EQ it is unbeleivable.


    Acct Type- OPEN (wrong! this accout was closed in Feb 2003)
    Acct Staus- OPEN
    Monthly pymt-$0
    Date Open-$0 (? this is weird that they have a dollar amount where there should be a date)Balance - $0
    Terms- N/A
    Past due-$0
    Payment status-Bad debt & placed for collection & skip
    DOLA- 11/02 (where did they get this date?)

    This got deleted from EX and TU (TU failed to investigate so they had to delete) Someone please tell me where to go with this. I have spoken with Verizon and they are so rude it is amazing.

    Um another infamous collection account for $0 I see. Send a CMRRR to Verizon. As soon as you get the green card, go online and dispute it on EQ. That locks Verizon in on the 30 day reinvestigation period. If they "verify" without providing you sufficient evidence of the debt, you got them.

    What is a good letter to send?
    I want to say that they are reporting wrong but should I get detailed? For some reason I am at a loss with this one because they are being nasty about this and I really need to get this one right.
