National Acct. Averages Per Equifax

    Pulled Equifax Report today and found this comparison to National averages included in file.Hope this will give everyone a more realistic idea of where they are vs. everyone else in the national average.I have only listed the National averages. See Below:

    Number of months the oldest account has been open(160mo.)
    --Payment History National Averages
    Number of accounts that are currently past due ( 0.6 )
    Number of accounts that have been at least 60 days past due over the last 24 months ( 0.8 )
    ---Utilization of credit limits
    Percentage calculation: Total of all account balances/total of all credit limits ( 44% )

    Definition of an "Account"
    An account is a relationship with a credit grantor. Examples include home mortgages,
    student loans and credit cards.

    Number of accounts open
    This metric compares the number of accounts in your credit file reported as open to the U.S.
    population*.

    Number of months the oldest account has been open
    This metric compares the oldest open account in your credit file, measured in months from the
    date it was opened, to the U.S. population*.

    Number of accounts that are currently past due
    This metric adds the number of accounts in your credit file that are reported as having a balance
    that is currently past due and compares it to the U.S. population*.

    Number of accounts that have been at least 60 days past due over the last 24 months
    This metric reviews the payment status of each account in your credit file over the past twenty-four
    months. It sums the number of accounts that have a past due balance for the last sixty
    days in any one of the twenty-four month periods and compares it to the U.S. population*.

    Total of all account balances divided by the total of all credit limits
    This metric measures the utilization of your credit limit by dividing the sum of all oustanding balances by the sum of all
    credit limits and compares it to the U.S. population*.
    The metric expreses a value between 0% - 100% stating the percent of your total credit
    limits that have been accessed.
