    WHY SHOULD I???

    I'M TOO GOOD FOR THEM!!!

All the reasons were "MADE UP" reasons...

Approved, I think my score was 718 or so when I applied. Not automatic approval. They checked Equifax. Was initially approved for $3k, increased to $10k because I said I wanted to do BT. I believe I could have received more...

    Hope this helps...

Also, it was the Diamond Edition card.

Will, maybe you will have better luck than me. My denial reason were in this order: an excessive number of new trade lines opened in the last 12 months, one or more bank/natl trades with utizlization greater than 75% of limit, you do not have both a checking and savings account, and due to limited experience with revolving credit in your credit report we are unable to grant additional credit. Well, I had the "credit itch" and am over it with a slap in the face of a denial and will continue to enjoy the cards that im already approved with. I think I have a serious cc addiction because I reward myself by going past three months without applying and must learn to wait 12-24 months!

some of these reasons, i do not agree with. For example i only had about three inquiries at the time, I have a bbandt checking and savings accounts, furthermore 2 credit union accounts, plus have an amex account that makes me look like im overlimit, but its a charge card and i charge alot every month. Oh well, their loss. Hope National works out for you (will), but did not work for me.

I called to check the status. (I am impatient, I can't wait for THEM to respond. :) )

I later called back the same day and had them to increase the line by doing BT, btw, what card did you apply for?

Here is the number to check the status: (800) 762-0974

If you are initially denied, they do offer reconsiderations right over the phone.

    Good luck!
