Hi all, I recently got a pre-approval for the National City Everyday Purchase Rewards card. Here are the terms:

9.9% fixed rate on purchases, BTs, cash advances.

    No annual fee

No fee for balance transfers, but there is a fee for cash advances.

4% back at all gas stations
3% back on utilities, pay TV services (satellite, cable)
2% back at all grocery stores, restaurants
1% back at home improvement stores
    1/2% back on everything else

Overall, I thought this was a good deal because most rewards cars have high APRs and fees, but this one has a nice rate with fewer fees and rewards.

a relative of mine recieved a preapproval for NC platinum at 7.9%fixed for purchases, bt and cash adv. It was approved and scores about 650-700 depending on which report. I think the preapproval is a good indication, but I applied like George cold turkey about a year ago and was denied. BTW, her overall utilization was over 50%, but credit history 15+years.

I received a preapproval offer for the Cash Builder. Still considering if I should apply or not.

Anyone have insight as what CRAs they generally will pull?

    Best regards,
    Mirage

Just called and found out I was approved for the card !!! (5K limit). Can't wait to get it.

Since this card has a 9.9% fixed rate on BTs with no fees, should I cancel my bofa 9.9% card since this one comes with rewards and the bofa card does not ???

HOLD ON TO IT...BofA and FLEET are merging...nobody knows what DEALS THEY MAY COME UP WITH...

Just put it in the SOCKDRAWER and use it a
couple of times for like $5.00 PAY-AT-THE-PUMP GAS before
    they FINALIZE THE MERGER...

congratulations on your approval Steve. I think NC sends preappovals like other companies that cneters have discussed with high chance of approval, assuming you have not made drastic changes in your report since the preapproval was pulled on your report as a promo inquiry, i think chances are high for an approval.

I applied for them over a week and a half ago through Lending Tree with a FICO of 680. Saw the inquiry on my Equifax but haven't heard a thing one way or the other since. Anyone have any idea which way it will go?

Got the card in the mail today. It's probably the nicest looking Visa card I have. I think what most people say is true, which is that if you get a pre-approval from National City, there is a good chance that you'll get the card.
