I (actually my ex-wife.Easier to say I) live in NY. I have a recent bankruptcy because of a failed joint venture in home buying with my son. My credit history has always been good until this. Now my score is 600 and trying build it up again. What is "Nationwide Program though not yet available in NY, IA, AR, or WI" ? when it comes to secure credit cards in NY? They don't report to the big 3? I just completely don't understand. Is there another simple, low-cost avenue in which to salvage my credit, here in New York?

some types of offers aren't legal, or have too much regulatory red tape to cut through in certain states.

We've done secured cards before. Will any of those cards help in restoring a credit score? Been mulling over things like a cheap car loan at Sleazy Jims used cars and bait shop. As long as it reports it.

As long as the card reports, it will help.

You'd probably be better off with a secured installment loan through your bank than getting involved with a side lot car with an interest rate of 25%.

    Hi w_james,

Yes those cards that I listed report to the credit bureaus so you can restore your credit with responsible use.

    Thanks
