I have a few CA's on my CR's that I have been battleing with to no avail. They are very old and out of SOL. But they mostly say the drop off dates on Exp are around 2006. But I'm trying to get them off before then. I have Marlin intergrated, Inovsion and Medclr. When I received a tri-merged report they gave the names and phone numbers of all of the above, but no addresses. I tried each number from work and they all answered NCO. Last night I was doing some research and in NY they are registered with these names, but always a combination of each other. Not a single name. Florida did'nt seem to have anything on them at least no legal. And PA has no record at all of Medclr. They do of NCO, but the addresses are old. and BBB states that they keep getting returned mail from the horsham ofc and getting no response. I reside in Pa and I know that you need to register your business with the the dept of Corps for a DBA. Anyway, getting to my question I need to send letters regarding these CA's but don't even know were to send them to. Should I send them all to NCO? as in Invovision c/o NCO? or send them all to NCO. I'm thinking that NY would be the best place to send them. Please let me know what you think.. Kahty
Well... Technically (as far as I can tell) Marlin & their various other names, are 'serviced' by NCO. NCO also does their own collections activities. When the BBB *WAS* still listing Marlin's own address, I was making a proper pain of myself... (Conveniently, then they quickly updated their address with the BBB to list the NCO address. Gee, I wonder why... ) When I ended up disputing with the Philly BBB, the response came from their NY Corporate offices. So that is their true home location. As a CYA, here is what I would do. Send a dispute to all of the following addresses... (and if they get returned, all the better, then you have proof that the CRA could not have contacted them. just don't open the returned envelope. ) The et. al. in the address for MICHC is important, that makes it inclusive of all of their entities... I would also make sure that you specifically phrase it to cover their company, and all of their company's subsidiaries and affiliates. You don't want to give them a little bit of wiggle room. After you've mailed to all three addresses, dispute all the entries for NCO/Marlin/et. al. in writing the next day after it's been mailed. (Since they should get the letters in 1-2 days from PA, and the only 'local' CRA is TU, the time-frame should be the same to them as it is to Horsham & Upper Darby. I would send a dispute letter to all three CRA's even if you can't see an entry under those names on the report you got, you never know when it could be there, and hidden, or if they may update a CRA which it isn't showing on when they notify them of the dispute. Marlin Integrated Capital Holding Corporation, et. al. 100 Constitution Ave Upper Darby, PA 19082-2230 NCO Financial Systems, Inc. 507 Prudential Rd Horsham, PA 19044-2308 NCO Financial Systems, Inc. 150 Crosspoint Pkwy CrossPoint Business Park Getzville, NY 14068-1602 P.S. Feel free to mail me... I can help if you need it. US PAers got to stick together, to be a thorn in this alleged PA company's side.
BTW: Here is a listing of all of the names which MICHC uses... This is directly from their 'privacy policy' statement, so it should be fairly conclusive. InoVision, INC. InoVision, A Marlin Company L.L.C. MEDCLR, INC. Marlin Integrated Capital Holding Corporation Marlin Integrated Capital L.L.C. InoVision-MEDCLR Portfolio Group L.L.C. InoVision-MEDCLR-NCOP F. L.L.C. InoVision-MEDCLR-NCOP NF. L.L.C But they are collectively part of "Marlin Integrated Capital Holding Corporation", which is why I say to make it addressed to MICHC. So you may want to include all of those names in your dispute to the CRAs.
Jam, Thank you so much for the information. I will give this a try. I did forget to mention in my original post that I just recently disputed with TU, Medclr and inovision and they verified. About a 1 1/2 yrs ago I had sent them an intial validation letter, but that is were I left things hanging when my personal problems arised. as I have mentioned in my previous posts I'm starting CR repair all over agian, so I'm really unsure weather I should pick up on the valildation process were I left off. Or just start all over again with a new validation and follow up to completion. I have the time now and things are back to normal. Another poster that responded to my last post thought I should just start over in their opinion. What do you think? I would really like to know were you would start again. In the past I disputed all of these to no avail. I'm really trying to get back on track with my CR repair, but it is so confusing now. I have to sort through everything piece by piece. And that's alot of documentation that I saved. Kathy
