Hi, I have been reading this board for a few weeks now and have finally worked up the nerve to ask a question. This board is awesome and has been my strength in attempting to clean up my credit. I wish I knew about it two years ago when I did on my own to obtain a mortgage. I suceeded, but it would have been a lot easier with this wealth of information. I am in search of a valid fax number for NCO. These people (if i dare call them people) are vultures. I have sent them a C&D as well as a Validation letter. And they are continuing to contact me at work! They don't seem to have my home phone...hehehe I know that they or in violation. I have recently filed CH 13 and have given them my laywer number to reach him directly. I had no choice in the matter. My six year old has been very ill and the medical bills were out of hand...$100,000+ for the past year. Not to mention that my company messed up my health insurance and refused to relist her as my dependent. I make too much money for them to consider charity care or to reduce the debt owed. I had great credit after my 99 endeavor to fix my credit and had every intention of keeping it that way. Sorry for the long post. Thank you in advance for help with this.
Yes they are vultures, One thing you can try is to call up the CRA they're listed on and usually they have the address plus 800 number, then just call NCO and get there fax. They have so many offices/name variations listed it's not funny, call CRA's to get the right Company office that is reporting. The Number TU gave me for my NCO listing is 800-709-8613
Mines in Upper Darby,PA. Keep me updated on your progress I'm still waiting on the Sheriff they supposedly sent from 5 yrs ago heh is he stuck in traffic? Goodluck
thanks...i did contact the cra and NCO for the fax number, the number that they gave me just rings and rings and rings some more thank you for the advice
OK, just got home from work. The fax number I have is 1-215-793-2750. I sent a fax on 4/15/02 @ 9:15am(Pacific Time). Also, the address I used is: 507 Prudential Road Horsham, PA 19044. Web Address: www.ncogroup.com
i will try that number a little later today...thank you I have another question now...if I send to the fax number in Phila and it is the wrong office, should that matter? Or would they have to accept it as notification anyway? I'm sending a letter via fax either way to the number you have suggested just in case it does help. And it could help me prove that I made every attempt on my end if it gets that far....or would it?
I wouldn't think it would matter which office you send it too, as many office they have one would assume they'll have a centralized database where they can pull your "COMPUTER PRINTOUT" of your file.
