I have a $252 collection account with this company that I am willing to pay but only with a deletion.Well of course I called and they said they can not do this.So I hung up. Has anyone had any luck with getting them to delete for payment. I was thinking of faxing them a payment for deletion settlement offer. Does anyone knew their fax number?Do you think this will work. I need to get somes pts. asap. Please help.....

NCO is one of the most notorious CAs out there. The ONLY way I was able to get rid of them was to monitor their letters and collection calls. Once I had them on enough violations, I threatened to sue (intent to sue letter).

They are bas***ds and very tenacious.

care to share those violations with us? Maybe it would help some of us newbies recognize them when they popped up. Thanks!

    Have they validated?
I just recently got them deleted from my TU report, simply because they could not validate. They asked me to fax a copy of my CR!!
IMHO, I wouldn't pay unless they validate. good luck!

No I have not sent a valadation letter. All I have done was disputed it on my credut report. I am trying to get a mortgage and collections need to be paid. I just thought since I know I owe it I should pay it off but would like to get a deletion. Also what would happen if I just paid the OC sprint instead of paying NCo..

I agree with Javan. I disputed an NCO listing several times and it came back verified every time. I sent one validation letter and NCO responded with a letter from their compliance department that the item would be removed. Took a bit of time, (60 days from date sent through CRRR and notice of deletion, than I gave it another 30 days to view the clean report) but validation was the way to go.

I would fax a validation letter to them tonight(or tomorrow) and just give them 15days(or 48hours depending on the time you have). You will get an immediate response, good or bad.

I sent validation via snail mail, 30 days - no response. I then faxed the estoppel letter at about 10pm on day 35 and received a response the next morning stating they could not find my account number and that I should send a copy of my CR to help them locate it. I forwarded this communication to TU demanding immediate removal.

Does it matter if I have talk to them on the phone trying to make some agreements only for them to tell me they can not delete. They just reported this in may to the cra.Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Don't know if this will help, but here is the exact letter I used to validate NCO....

    Re: Acct # xxxxxxx

    To Whom It May Concern:

I have been the victim of identity fraud, and I believe this debt is one of the debts which resulted from my identity theft and was falsely taken out in my name. This letter is being sent to you in response to the listings from your agency that appear on my credit reports. This is not a refusal to pay, but a notice that your claim is disputed.

Under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), I have the right to request validation of the debt you say I owe you. I am requesting proof that I am indeed the party you are asking to pay this debt, and there is some contractual obligation which is binding on me to pay this debt. Below are a few questions to answer which may help you to resolve these mistakes.

You should also be aware that reporting such invalidated information to major credit bureaus might constitute defamation of character, as the negative marks on my credit report harm my credit and prevent me from enjoying all the benefits of good credit. Iâ??m sure your legal staff will agree that non-compliance with this request could put your company in serious legal trouble with the FTC and other state or federal agencies.

In addition to the questionnaire below, please attach copies of:

â?¢ Agreement with you client that grants you the authority to collect on this alleged debt.
â?¢ Agreement that bears the signature of the alleged debtor wherein he agreed to pay the creditor.
â?¢ Any insurance claims that have been made by any creditor regarding this account.
â?¢ Any judgments that have been obtained by any creditor regarding this account.

    Best regards,

    Info courtesy of nave
On the letterhead of the response I have from their compliance department, I have a fax number of (716) 404-2120.

But that is a FAX# for the address that someone else gave you for NCO, not the BlueBell PA address I gave you which I still believe will get you a response. The address at the top of my letterhead is:

    NCO Financial Systems, Inc
    150 Crosspoint Parkway
    Getzville, NY 14068

    1-800-227-4000
    1-716-404-2100
    1-716-404-2120 FAX

So you might wanna send a fax their way.

    -Peace, Dave

They couldnt validate for me and were deleted within 45 days of my initial validation request.
Even if the are able to validate, maybe they will supply you with some leverage (violations) for negotiations.

Not sure that the fax you used is accurate. The info Voodoochild used is the same I have. The compliance manager is John M. Emmons.

This is what I went through with them, I sent off a validation (faxed), they ignored the validation, after the 30day no response, I just faxed them a 5 day settlement offer for deletion with a list detailing the violations they commited, I did not directly say I was going to sue but I put something to affect like "Please respond via fax to by Blah blah Should you decide
to ignore me again, I have no choice but to incur further expenses and
consider my legal options." They actually responded befor deadline :)

I'd prob just send validation first to noone specific, then if you get no response, just send in the deletion/settlement offer to them Atten: to John on your second letter, might speed up your process.

    Tessha,

If and when you send a validation to them. try to keep track of your credit reports. example (creditwatch or creditexpert). I'm hot and heavy in validation with them right now. and by monitoring my credit reports, I have undoubtly have them on several violations already. This way you can print out your reports for evidence of the violations.
I'm just buying my time with them right now, then I'm going for the jugular.

    good luck !!

    Teesha,

Right now EQ and EX have a 30 day free trial going on. after the 30 days I believe they will then charge your card $69.00 or 79.00. I'm not real sure of the exact cost, but it is around there somewhere. I have used the EQ creditwatch and I thought it was very good. It will give you your score as well. and you can pull a new report and look at when you want an updated version.
I have been watching NCO very closely during all this validation and this is how I have caught them on violations, so yes I do think it would be wise to try the 30 day. good luck. I hope everything works out to your advantage.
