i just sent them a settlement letter. The original balance was for 460.00 NCO/Inovision bought it and was asking for 689.00. I've made payment arrangements and I've paid $300 on this account. I sent them a settlement letter for $150. Do you think it was too low, and has anyone else had any luck making a settlement with them.
Add "complete deletion of the negative history" to the settlement offer, and you are all set. The ONLY bargaining power you have is when this is still UNPAID and UNSETTLED. I would think the $150 is fine but ONLY if they delete the listing...if not than it is too expensive -Peace, Dave
I sent the letter that is on the board. I sent it Friday certified. I am so ready to get them off my back. I can't believe that they added almost $300 interest to this account.
I sent the letter certified, got the green card, but haven't heard anything. Usually, I get a "you forgot to pay us phone call". But I haven't even received that. I asked to settled for $150 for deletion. What do I do now? Do i send another letter, call them????
Although CRRR can help you to prove they received something, there is nothing that says they have to respond to a settlement offer. Not sure what to say but to be persistent and call (if you are comfortable what to and what not to say over the phone) or write another settlement offer. With that last "payment" you may have extended the SOL, so they have some time on their side right now and there is no rush to settle with you. Be persistent you will reach someone's ears soon. -Peace, Dave
