I was wondering if anyone could answer a question for me.

I received a letter from TU today. Two NCO (collection accts) were put in dispute. I got a letter to day that NCO verified one of the acct's. Now the funny part is that I send a validation request to NCO then entered these disputes with TU and EQ, I have yet to hear back on the validation request (30 days as of July 4th). They also validated to EQ last week.
I know that they are in voilation, but my question is, is it considered 2 violations verifiying with EQ and TU. because they are two separte agencies or is this considered 1 violation.

IMHO, two. The FCRA states "per occurrence". I would take that as 2 occurrences.

It depends on what judge hears your case.

for some reason I keep coming back to two violations, only because, they were contacted on 2 different occassions once for EQ and once from TU and they verified both times. it just sounds logical to me.

thanks guys, that was, I think the quickest response I ever got on anything I have ever posted, I'm guessing that there are not alot of people who do not like NCO ? (i'm being sarcastic there).
