Marlin Integrated Capitol is (allegedly) a separate company located in Miami. They are also Medclr, Inc. and Innovision, etc. They purchase your debt then turn it over to NCO for collection. (That is their story, anyway). I don't buy it!

I have challenge their use of Medclr name or Marlin or anything else because the FDCPA states that they CANNOT use any other name but their own. There is a litanny of garbage on these folks.

BTW, the way I got Medclr off my hubby's bureau is that they give a PA address. Marlin and it's "affiliates" are not registered to do business in PA. That means they are operating illegally.

    Good bye tradeline! :)

on my equifax, medclr gives an address in key west, where did they report the PA address? I know that NCO always directs any payment I should make...yeah right....to PA. I can't stand this company...punishment duplicates added after disputing and then the duplicates verified.

I sued Marlin Integrated Capital about 3 months ago.

They are really NCO Financial Systems.

They (NCO) settled out of court on behalf of Marlin.

For the defendant's name I listed it as.....

    NCO FINANCIAL SYSTEMS,
    aka MARLIN INTEGRATED CAPITAL
    507 Prudential Road
    Horsham, PA., 19044

The court sent the summons to the above name and address. They received it and I was contacted the next day by their attorney who wanted to settle, no if's, and's or buts!!

If you want to sue Marlin, you must sue NCO because they own Marlin.

    Failure to validate

Failure to reply to any correspondence, although they did receive everything.

    Inaccurate reporting to the CRAs

Failure to list the account as in dispute, even though 6 months passed.

Violation of my State's Consumer Protection Laws.

They called and settled quickly. Their attorney was very nice and went out of her way to make sure things were corrected almost immediately.

If you are going to sue them the address and name I listed will do it.

Don't waste any time I can tell you from experience you aren't going to get results from them using conventional methods.

    They on;y reply to lawsuits!

If you didn't receive notice from them that they were collecting on this debt, the yes, you have them because they are supposed to notify you in writing within 5 days of their first contact.

There placing this on your report w/o notification is against FDCPA laws.

Request validation in writing and send it certified and registered.

Medcl reaged an account of mines. I have an old credit report as proof. I am going to first send the credit bureau and if no luck then to them.

Can I sue for damages when the reage an account?

I don't know. Actually, I guess that's kinda sorta what I am asking. Certainly the reaged account has lowered my credit score and reaging accounts is not right, right?

well, I am ready to sue them and equifax. I keep disputing the duplicate account...Equifax dispute was placed on the 17th...just checked tonight, and it has been updated to 120+ days late..my score dropped 45 points because of their duplicate punishment entry. I'm tired of medclr and equifax noncompliance with correct reporting.

Hey everyone, I am new but I am extremely upset about NCO and their practices. I encourage everyone to send an email to the following address that belongs to the investigative team at NBC in Philadelphia. This is the letter I sent and I encourage everyone to do the same. Power to the people.

    Dear Investigators,

I live in Austin, TX and I am writing about a company in Horsham, PA Called NCO financial. They are a collection agency who operates under several names illegally. Their practices violate the major rights of people across the U.S. under the Fair debt and collection practices act. I believe you should do a story about them and investigate them. Like myself, the victims of this company are real people who's lives are being ruined because NCO's only motivation is money. If you would like to do any preliminary research look into the information found on the following web forum's.
