    Hello all,

For those reading this, thank you and bare with me through this. I had (1) charge-off in the amount of 20K+ with Citibank. The last date of use was 2/2001.

About a year ago, I paid this company several hundred dollars to help me dispute because I did not find this board quick enough. The Citibk entry is off of all 3 credit reports, but I have (2) different NCO entries on my EQ and I have (1) on my TU, and (1) on my EX. That is all I have my scores are from 650-690.

I feel as though the company is not doing much for me now. I call my rep to see what is going on and he says they are still working for me. I have not recieved any reports or letters saying anything is going on. I have been checking with PG for almost everyday since this past Oct. and there is really nothing new going on except my current credit card balance going up and down.

The question I have is or the help I need is. Can I send validation letters to NCO and there other cooresponding companies even though this company I hired my be doing the same. My guess is they are only concentrating on the credit bureaus. I dont want to overlap or mess anything up, but like I said I have not recieved any letters or anything saying anything is being investigated or anything. Please if you can be of assistance or can help that would be great. And if you do respond,,please,,please be kinda thorough as I am new trying to do this on my own. If you need more if I can reply and add any other pertaining info.

    Thank you so much

    1*Not recommended
2*Using the Co. already has it missed up. You need to fire them and do it yourself.
Here is a good link on that.""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

This is the greatest arguement for not hiring a third-party company to manage your credit.

Because, as in your case you have no knowledge and/or consent about their activities.

If they are actually working. (Since you paid in advance from the sounds of it, chances are they are not actually working, and just collect the $, and say that they are.) This is one of the reasons why the CRO Act requires that the companies be paid not in advance, but as they perform their services.
