Not to sound the eternal cheepskate here but a question of the certified return recipet mail you send to the CRA to dispute. IF you don't use CRRR when contacting any of the big 3 CRAs, can, er,, accidents happen? (i.e. lost disputes, disputes taking a lot longer to dispute, etc) I KNOW when you mail a validation letter that common sense dictates you use CRRR. But those are the ultra slimey CAs. I know theres not much love loss with the CRAs either, but I am thinking to dispute my items in quantities of 2-4 per letter. Plus I am mailing disputes for address deletions and name erros, etc. if I have to CRRR everything that will be a load of money over time. I guess my overall blunt question being WILL THE CRAS screw my dispute letter over without it being CRRR? Also, I am presuming that the lesser expensive US Mail deliver confirmation is not a wise road to go wither? thanks
Paper- 1.2 cents a sheet Envelope- 8 cents CRRR- $4.42 Being able to prove a CRA screwed up in court- PRICELESS! Murphey's Law applies here with CRRR. The first time you don't use it, will be exactly the time that you need it.
I suppose there is indeed a point here. I just wish I could dispute the damn things online. would save me postage money I dont really have.
Why can't you dispute them online? At least 1/2 the people here use online. Especial the first few are probably more effectice that way and one person reports their only successes have come with online disputes.
I tried to dispute online. Equifax and Experian basically relay me to either an 800 number that leads nowhere or a a sub contracted agency on the east coast area. either way They are not letting me dispute online because of my geography (oklahoma). my TU report is still missing 95% of all tradelines. as far as Im concerned it can stay that way. Though Im sure they will pop up at some descidedly inconvienant time. I wish I could dispute them this way. I am going to spend a good $50-60 on postage right off and those wont even involve two thirds of the trades I am trying to remove.
