In second round of dispute with Experian regarding a paid collection account via a judgement. As background information, I owed the original creditor which was charged off and assigned to Arrow Financial Services. Arrow won a judgement and I subsequently paid the judgement in full. Since that time, the original creditor tradeline aged and was purged from my Experian report. However, the collection agency, Arrow, is still reporting the paid judgement and indicates it will be reported until 1/2004. Question is what date should Experian be using in order to calculate the right purge date for the collection account? Should the date be calculated based on the delinquency period reported by the original creditor or the delinquency period as reported by the collection agency, Arrow? If I am reading the FCRA correctly, purge dates should be calculated based on the earliest delinquency period whether or not it is reported by the original creditor or collection agency. Therefore, the collection account should have purged, along with the original creditor. Please let me know your take on this. Please give me some ammo!
