Hey all my creditnet family...well I got a call from the Real Estate Broker.....Out of 14 Negatives....I only have one lingering account with Bank Of America.......I was going to just settle with them and take the paid CO...here's the thing I call the bank they looked everywhere transfered me 5 times and finally at they end found the account....nothing when they punch in my social.....it is my EX wife's account and I was an AU.....I ask for a settlement they said it was being collected by an outside company...the CA does not appear on my files.......This tradeline has been removed from two of the 3 CRA's by dispute...EXPERIAN apparently is not verifying their info...I need to clear this up in one week time...Now I call on alll the tough experts what should be my course of action...it's the one thing holding the deal...Thank you all!!!
Why would you settle and accept a paid collection on an account you're not legally liable on? A strongly worded intent to sue is in order here! Give them 48 hours to comply.
ITS guys? He wants a house - sounds like his ITS should be going to Experian anyway. We all know they will drag their feet. How friendly was B of A about it once they found out you were an AU? I would attempt to show up at a B of A in person, explain your situation, and explain that you want a letter stating that it is not your account, and you are not financially responsible for it. That should satisfy the mortgage company. If your scores are low and affecting your interest rate check on rapid rescore to bring them up. Then when you are settled in the nice cozy abode, sue the pants off Experian. Just my .02
Re: Re: Need A Knock out punch here. Numb, who are you gonna sue? BofA? You are an AU on their card, besides, the case is out of their hands. The CA? They are not listed in your report. The CRA? They could verify with BofA. It's going to take more than a week to put all this together. Listen to jlynn, try to get this letter from BofA and use it either with the mortgage company or with the CRA. It's not a suing time ... not yet ... Just adding my 3 cents so together with jlynn we make a whole nickel, lbrown ...
