I feel that I need to start training for any litigation that I may come my way or that I bring. I validated an attorney CA today and I have a feeling they might pursue a judgement. I am aware that they have to validate before a judgement is granted but I **need** to know how to do this stuff, fast. I need to be whipped into legal shape.

From what I read small claims is a lot less complex than Federal District Court. What are the pros and cons of each?

If were to sue, can I sue in my home town without having to travel?

How do I perpare my filing if I were to go to small claims?

How do I perpare my filing if I were to go to federal court?

How would I file a counter suit if I was sued for a judgement in either small claims or federal?

I know I have a lot of learning to do but I am capable of doing it. Some people say that fear is the only motivator. I feel the motivation.

    Sorry - I'm not a lawyer.

However, I can tell you what I do know:

    (1) If you're completely green -- e.g. you have no knowledge of law, lawsuits, legal matters, etc, -- AND you're brand new at credit correction -- AND you don't have much time at all -- hire an attorney.

    (2) If you have time, patience, and you're willing and able to learn, you can learn A LOT by reading, and SEARCHING these forums. In fact, there's an excellent STICKY message at the top of this forum that describes some of the best topics and how they've been covered. In addition, I think on page one, GREEN ARROW, there's a thread about LAWSUITS and how to go about them.

This board is best used by searching and reading first, and then posting your messages second. I've personally found that if I ask questions which are either obviously answered elsewhere, or have been covered 1000x before in a STICKY, then I'm probably going to get ignored.

It's like anything -- put in a little work here and you'll get a larger reward back in knowledge and assistance.

Not beating my 'read and search first' drum -- just trying to tell you why you may not be getting the response level you feel you deserve here at CN.
