Applying for mortgage loan husband has 2 chargeoffs one is in classaction suit in court because it was sold to him under fraudulant terms and the other is a repo vehicle on which we are making monthly payments on, his score 668 mine 722 but our loan process is slowed down because of chargeoffs, should I try to go it alone on my credit with clean record or keep husband on loan and deal with the crap? Can you get approved for a loan amount based on your income alone for the price range you are looking at?? If so I would do this, this credit clean up can take months and months and if time is not really on your side, I would go with this option.
Bailey, I think I could probably do it on my own income, but not for sure, I do know that my credit report is clean, the lender we are working with is Chase Manhattan. Thanks for the reply. mindy
