In order for us to get our mortgage now, I have to pay an account that is not mine. I am p*ssed about it, but the lender will not budge. Someone had mentioned an "extortion letter" or "payment under protest" letter and this is what I would like to use. If anyone can help me, please do. I have to have this in the mail tonight. In the letter, state that you are paying under duress. Mention how not paying it and missing the opportunity to obtain the mortgage would not be in your best interest, however you are being robbed nonetheless.
