I just checked my PG, and my Equifax score is 680 (temporarily, items in dispute). I need some slam dunks on CC's that only pull from Equisux online. If it matters, I live in WI.
Maybe: One of the easier American Express cards? (Green, Plain Delta SkyMiles, Plain Optima) A good retail card? (Dillard's, Macy's, Target) I can't guarantee that ANY card pulls ONLY from Equifax, plus I live in Arizona. But I did call in-state reps on the convenience phones at May Co. and Dillard's, and they told me which CRA they USUALLY use. (May Co. told me Equifax, and then pulled TU, LOL.)
I just applied for the Target card and was told that it will be 48 hours to process (getting a queasy feeling). I might try for the AMEX card but still need more suggestions.
I found out about Juniper the hard way. That was my posting that they pull EXP! I still need more EQU cards! My time is running out! Please help!
Best Buy did not use EQ. I am beginning to feel despondent. It seems like EQ is the least used of the big 3.
To me in Arizona, it seems as if I can't escape Equifax. That wasn't true 3 years ago, when it seemed as if everyone was pulling Experian. Recently: American Express Household/GM Dillard's Bank One have all pulled Equifax on me.
I have had both Bank One/First USA and AMEX pull Equifax on me. I'd try one of the AMEX cards. They were quick (less than 24 hours to approve) and they gave a good CL $8,000. Might be worth a shot. I applied for Blue. Not sure which is the easiest to get though, some others might know better than I.
I applied for the AMEX Delta Skymiles card. They gave me a message that further review is required. I doesn't look good. I'll keep you updated and would love more suggestions.
I think you gave it a good try. Let us know what happens. The only other possibility I can think of would be Chevron. I don't know where you're at or what you already have, but Chevron pulled Equifax on me, and I got the card when I was well below 680.
You might try the GM card or the Corvette card. These are both issued by Household and I have seen several others on another board approved with an inflated score like yours. Only thing is, if you have public record items (judgements etc) they won't approve even with that score. paw67
I was thinking the same thing, GM card will also turn you down for inqs. I was turned down awhile back with a 696 score for 4 inqs. I was approved last month with a 663 2 inqs. but low limit. 1k.
