Need Advice for Paid Collections

    I have 2 small paid collections less than $400 each. One is from the phone company and the other is a bad check. The phone company collection agency is Risk Management Alternatives and was paid over a year ago. The bad check collection agency is Marlin Intergrated Capital and was most recently paid. Where do I begin to get these accounts removed. They show zero balance on CR's

    "Not Mine".. It took 8 attempts, but i finally get my check collection wiped last month.

    Yes I thought about that. Isn't it true that the collection agency is not likely to respond since the account is paid? Why would they waste time and resources! However, how do I keep the CR's from "faking" their correspondence to the CR's? I believe this is what happened to me last year. I strongly believe that the CR never contacted one of my creditors. They only pretended and then stated that the account was validated. How do I avoid this?

    Which is better in my case, online dispute or certified mail?

    I think you ask for a procedure request. You ask the cra to send you proof of the procedure that they used to verify the info. I think there is a letter in the sample letters section.

    If I'm wrong help me out here.

    Marlin Intgr is now NCO Financial Sys. I just worked on a derog removal due to fraud and discovered that they are now NCO.

    U should have paid with deleation only

    There are 2 many nickel an dime chicken feed collections on far to many reports.

    Any thin under 100 should not report

    Dispute as "not Mine". Online or via mail, your preference. I have a collection with RMA right now and I will not pay unless they delete.
