In August, I pulled all three of my credit reports for the first time after filing Chapter 7 BK in 1996. I was so shocked when I pulled it. There was so many innaccuracies on all three reports. Most of my BK accounts were reported wrong.

Thanks to all the good advice on these boards, I am happy to say that I have disputed most of them and am still in the process of disputing a few more. I am happy to say that my FICO score has went from 638 to 654 from me dispute the inaccuracies. But now I want to raise it even more so I can try to get the "BIG BOY" cards (i.e. Citibank, Discover and AMEX).

On my credit report, I found out that I am joint user on one of my mother's credit cards which has an $12,500 credit line. The current balance is about $300. Also, an authorized user on another one of her cards.

I don't have these cards in my possession. These cards are strickly my mother's cards.

    My question is this:

Should I have my name removed from her accounts and have them taken off my credit reports or should I leave my name on her accounts to boost my FICO score? Would it make a difference in my score? I have 15 positive things on my credit report. Five accounts are open and active by me, two of her accounts, one joint account with husband, and 7 closed (in good standing and very old) accounts.

Also, does anyone have any advice on which cards I should be applying for five years after BK?

Thanks for all the good advice!

P.S. I was able to get a Target Guest Card thanks to this board!
