Need advice on a new credit card

    Please help, I'd like to apply for an unsecured CC for at least $1000 credit.

    I have a BK in '97 and median score of 595. Can someone please recommend a 'friendly' card that I might have a good chance of getting?

    Can someone please help? Maybe a non-secured card?

    I'm not sure if they still offer it, but Capital One gave us a partially secured cc when dh's scores were about the same as yours. It was partially secured by $99 and he was given a $500 cl.... and they report it to the cra's as unsecured.

    Other than them, I have no idea....other than to say unless you are EXTREMELY desperate avoid first premier like the plague - fees, fees, fees....

    I think it will be hard to get a unsecured card with that score unless you have good tradelines after the BK.

    You'll also probably need someone to do a manual review because a lot of the online cc will reject you with a score of 595 and /or a BK.
