I know how to deal with most of the negs on my report except one. I have a chargeoff from Chase. When I contacted Chase, they stated that they sold it to NCO and there was nothing I could do to help the situation. NCO has never once contacted me, and they aren't reporting to the CRA's. Is there anything I can do here? I could write NCO asking for validation but I'm afraid that will open a can of worms. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
This might work... Call them back up and ask them why THEY are reporting the charged-off debt if they sold it to NCO. SofaKing
That's a good idea. I tried to ask them questions regarding the account but they kept cutting me off (in the chargeoff division). I'm thinking of writing the corporate headquarters to ask these questions. The old sqeaky wheel theory.
