So it looks like I'm running into a bit of a roadblock here. I fired off another email to someone at Ally (the President this time) and just received another voicemail from the same person I spoke with yesterday who said that they are unable to remove the lates from my credit report. This person works in Ally Executive Customer Relations so the people I am emailing must just be passing off my emails to her. I don't even want to call her back at this point because she's surely just going to tell me the same thing that she told me yesterday.
You may need to lay low for a while. Maybe because it's so fresh they're taking a harder stand on it. Give 3 months and try again. Also, were you for sure 30 days late (due date Feb 3rd, and you didn't send payment till March 6th, type of a deal)?
Yup - payment was due like February 11th and I made the February payment AND the March payment about March 25th.
