Stupid thing to do, but my husband lost his job and I was 3 months behind on car payment with Chase Auto finance. They came to take the car on Sunday and now I am battling the repo gentleman at Chase. I had a promise with the Chase collection department to send full amount plus $1500 more by this Thursday(Tomorrow). They are now telling me that I owe the full amount 17,000 for the car if I want it back. I only have 10 days to come up with a refinance offer or 17,000 plus $500.00 repo fees. I have never had this happen before. I told the repossession manager that I wanted to talk to his supervisor and he said that there was nothing that anyone else could do and that he was the final person to talk to. I find that hard to believe because he is the only person that I have been able to talk to. I understand that what I did was wrong, but do I have any options. Does anyone know if there is someone else at Chase to call. I live in MO and I don't really understand the repo laws on the Missouri Gov web site. Thanks for anyones help!
