Its real funny. I had 6 chargeoffs. Tryed getting cards from everyone. Everyone Refused. Somehow they approved me for a 250.00. I thaught that was pretty amazing. 2 years later it is at 5,000. I have 6 others cards. all of which were started secured. I have a car loan of 16,000 which i have had for a year, and a 14,000 motorcycle loan for just a few months, Both which i may add i put up $5,000 downpayments on each one. For the past 3 years my credit is perfect. YET i cant get a fricken Target card. I was sent a Sears pre- approved a few months ago, which i thaught meant i would recieve one for sure. NOPE> declined.

My equa is 635, exp 621 , tuc 502. I have had 5 of 6 of the charge backs taken off equa and exp. however everything remains on tuc.

i have 7 credit cards, all no negs,

3 installs. 2 perfect one perfect for 2 years,

What can and should i do to make my score better?

Start off by reading the FAQ's. Then read them again. And read them a third time.

Spend time on this board reading old posts and learning about situations like yours.

    Good luck

I applied for a target and was turned down also. Your problem is they look at transunion only. If that is your bad report then that is the only thing they see.

Nope: his problem is his credit is too good!
They can tell by his reports that he's not a sucker that they can milk money out of,so they are not intrested in his business.
This is the primary why and wherefore of credit scoring.

Actually, target looks at EQ and most folks above 650 have been approved.

The problem is his score. Part could be the past derrogs, part could be the debt to income ratio, etc.

This is funny that there are so many conflicting reports as to who Target pulls. I had a credit increase denial from Target on my guest card and the credit report they obtained was from Experian. Maybe they don't have a set CRA they pull from. Just a thought.
