Let me start by saying that I appreciate all the people who post on this board, I have learned a lot in the short time that i've been reading here.

I just started building my credit about 9 months ago. I started off with a wells fargo secured card. They told me that after a year I could apply for an unsecured card. I thought that that meant that the account would still stay on my credit report, but just go unsecured(they don't report it as secured anyway). After talking to a customer service rep, I found out that the old account would be closed, and the new account added. That means that I would lose my oldest credit line(which I know isn't very long, but still my oldest). I really don't want anymore credit cards from them I've received three better cards that are unsecured, but only recently. Do you think I should just close out the wells fargo? If I do, then my oldest account would only be 2 months old. Please let me know what you would do.
