My personal credit is really crappy. I just incorporated a new business and now need to open a basic checking account. I do not want a credit/debit card, overdraft protection or any other form of credit, only the checking account. Every bank and credit union I call says they still pull a soft credit and will NOT open the account if my FICO score is too low. If possible, I would prefer not to use someone else to help me with this. I am in Washington state. Does anyone know of any banks, here or elsewhere, who will not pull the soft credit and just rely on the clean history that cme back since the new company will have no history? If not, is there any other way around this to get the account opened? I'm generating income from the new business already but need a bank to deposit the checks that are coming in. Thanks.
Have you tried/called US Bank? Years ago they had something called "second chance". They let you open accounts even if you were on Chexsystems, Telecheck, and/or lousy credit. As I said - this was years ago. Don't know about now.
Have you tried BECU, Banner Bank or Key Bank? I'm not 100% sure, but I don't believe they have done soft pulls on me for new checking accounts.
Checking Accounts An important factor in developing a strong business is to take your time and be meticulous. Trying to get above or around a problem will only make your situation worse and hurt you in the long run. There are programs out there that establish relationships with banks to help resolve past ChexSystems or bank matters. Timeframe to resolve depends on certain factors, but range between 30 to 90 days. AMG Consulting Group Inc.
