Hey Guys and Gals, Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm finally posting for my mom. She was looking through her credit report, and saw 2 things that got to her and now she wants fixed. 1. Verizon Wireless has a charge off for her for $1800, but she's sure she doesn't owe Verizon anything. She had an account with them, but sinced closed it. No CAs have contacted her, nor has Verizon (to her knowledge, she doesn't speak english well). I was thinking of having her send a dispute letter to the CRAs. Is that the best way to proceed with this? 2. The other thing is with Macy's. There's a charge off for $70ish dollars. She wants that removed. She said she doesn't mind paying that to do it. Should I dispute this again? Or should I write/call up Macy's and tell them she wants to pay? Thanks, Kermy
