Hi, I am still on the road to credit health, which seems to be another couple of years to me. I have tried to diversify my credit to include 2 MC/VISA limits $300 and $700, two department store cards limits $800 and $1200, a mortgage, a car loan, and an installment loan. On the negative side, I also have a BK and 1 stubborn paid CO on EQ and EX, and 2 paid collection accts that won't delete despite everything I have done. But I digress. I received a pre-approved app for Household, limit $1500. They say with good history it can go up to $5000. I don't have any card that high. Should I start here? My scores seem destined to stay down in the doldrums until the BK comes off in 04. They hover around 620 on a good day on all three reports. Should I even bother with Household? I have thought about just sticking with what I have but I am trying to help the situation if I can. You guys are really full of good advice and I would welcome any that you have about accepting Household. I have my installment loan with them and I dont care for them much but they are almost paid off and out of my life. Normally I tear up pre-apps, but I think I am hurting myself....
Re: Need Creditnet advice (A bit lo Thank you so much, I am definately going to take your advice. And rip that app up!
Re: Need Creditnet advice (A bit lo Oh yes, and the BK keeps validating. I think they are using my SSNor something to validate, not the address, because the old address is off and it still validates. I am becoming resigned to just paying off the cards (almost all done!) and continuing to dispute the COs and CA accts.
