EQ verified a 1998 judgement that I and the court believes never existed. We have searched the two courts and cannot find any record. What should I do? And about "collections" from when I was a minor that EQ "verified" knowing my true birthdate, what should I do? This proves that there are two ridiculous negatives on there that are truly erroneous. I am handling the silly library fine and the credit card charge off, and am confident they will work out in my favor. Help on the others?
NAME ADDRESS CITY STATE PHONE # OF THE PERSON THEY CONTACTED... AND THE "PROOF" (MUST BE A PAPER)...NOT JUST MATCH A NAME ON A COMPUTER!!!
Quite frankly, I would sue them and I wouldn't fool around with small claims court. I'd go get me a lawyer and go for the gold. Maybe $100,000 on each count. It's not likely you would get much more than about half that much, but it ought to give you some good beer money to say the least.
