Does anyone have a name and or phone number for the legal dept at experian, or a consumer relations person? I have 3 items on my report that they refuse to reinvestigate. (They last "verified" these in 5/01.) One of these is a paid tax lien which I just got off EQ and TU, so I know it would come off Experian if they would just reinvestigate. I sent the letter quoting the FCRA and they sent me the same old form letter, we already investigated, blah blah blah. The annoying thing is that the last investigation was sent in by me on a Friday and they verified that Monday, so they lied. Thanks for your help..I just need to get this to someone other than the blockheads who normally handle the mail, and I can never get anyone on the phone there.

Have they deemed your dispute frivoulous or irrelevent? if not they have to reinvestigate..

Send them a letter with this:
    611. Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [15 U.S.C. § 1681i]

    (a) Reinvestigations of disputed information.

    (1) Reinvestigation required.

    (A) In general. If the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in a consumer's file at a consumer reporting agency is disputed by the consumer and the consumer notifies the agency directly of such dispute, the agency shall reinvestigate free of charge and record the current status of the disputed information, or delete the item from the file in accordance with paragraph (5), before the end of the 30-day period beginning on the date on which the agency receives the notice of the dispute from the consumer

Remind them of their duty to investigate any information disputed by the consumer and if they dont you have a nice little lawsuit...

How ever I dont know of anyone you can contact..
But a certified return reciept requested letter should do the job to at least get it reinvestigated..
