I have an account the OC is Best Buy it with and I sent validation #1 to Northland group They acknowledged my letter with a letter stating that since I asked for validation they had sent the account back to Sherman Acquisition. Now Sherman Acquisition has evidently sent it to a company called Financial Recovery Services, INC. This seems to me like a situation where I should just send a letter to FRS, INC and say I have already disputed this with Northland. Is that the best way to handle this?

Who is Sherman Acquisition and why don't they just collect for themselves?

WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS SIMPLY PLACING THE ACCOUNT WITH A DIFFERENT COLLECTION FIRM. SEND THE FIRST LETTER TO THE SECOND FIRM AND GO FROM THERE ODDS ARE THELL KICK IT BACK TO ANOTHER.

You should also send a letter to Sherman stating that you sent a validation request to the other ca. They sent it back to you and now you send it to another. The original validation request has not been answered and now you (sherman) and the new ca are both in violation of the FDCPA for continued collection activity during the validation period when you have failed to validate. Then give them your demands and tell them if they fail to honor your demands in xx days, your will file complaints with the BBB, FTC, your state ag, their state ag and your atty has advised you file suit if they continue to violate your legal rights.
