Hi. I posted a coupla weeks ago regarding Citi sueing me for $30,000. They told me the payoff amount is about $25,000. I it is possible that I can come up/borrow about $20,000. They wanted two equal payments to make the $25,000 total, but I don't quite have it. I might be able to get the final $5,000 in a few months or so. Anyway my question is whether I can make any demands or agreements in writing for them to clean up my credit reports. If I pay in full, should I expect them to wipe the credit clean? I expect them to tell me they can't/won't do this. Can they do anything, or will it always show something like "delinquent, paid in full." I want to clean up my credit report but don't know what my options are.

I settled for less than full amount on and MBNA card, and am currently making monthly payments on a Chase card, both showing the negatives on the credit report.

    Thanks for any ideas,
    bushka
