Guys, I'm taking the "CRA please do the right things and delete" route with this one collection. 1) Sent 30 day validation ignored 2) Sent 15 day estopell ignored Yet the b@st@rds keep validating according to TU anyway. I was planning on sending a copy of my correspondence to this CA to TU and demanding deletion becuase they still refuse to validate this debt and don't even give me a response yet they can verify with TU. Please delete as this is a violation of the FCRA. Will this method work or is this a bad idea ? Plan B is to sue the CA for FDCPA and FCRA violations but I'm using that as a last resort. Let me know if I should go the CRA route and if so, what exactly should I tell them that will convince them to delete. Thanks in advance.
Personally, I don't think the Credit Bureau is going to give a damn about the letters you have been writing to the CA. I tried that a few times and had no luck at all. If they plan on ignoring you forever, while verifying to the CRA's than you may just have to sue them for it. That should get the account off of your reports fairly quickly.
Validation letter 05 in the letter section is for this exact situation. I had success with it as have several others. In fact, I just got an email from dem pooches saying that they used my letter and also had success with it. You have nothing to lose by trying.
