Okay here's my background. 3 SL's discharged in bk(yes, the bank has them discharged!) I called today because I got a letter stating they were going into default. I've been reading everything and do not want them to do this. They will fall off my report as is in 5 yrs versus a collection agency staying on another 7 or garnishment or IRS garnisshment. I asked them to send deferment paperwork to kill some time. They apparently made a mistake in accepting the discharge and are reporting incorrectly. They actually asked me to send in copies of my bk. I, being semi-wise from the board, am not going to do this. I personally would love a small claims on them. headache hassle, calling my mother!(I have a 12 year old and was over 21 when I had her.) One small claims will pay off their d*** loan with their own money. Please advise the best course to take. TIA P.S. I'm paying all my direct loans back seperately.
