Nothing but an Inquiry coded for "collection purposes". The only thing that is an open collection is the MCM/Discover thing. Should I write MCM another letter saying that it has been over 15 days since my last letter and that they should delete it from my credit report or send me accurate accounting for the debt they say I owe?

Yes, I would do that. Push for deletion. But not with that law firm, only with the CA.

Good luck!! Hang in there - you can beat them if you don't lose your objectivity ;)

PS I am the one who wrote the reply you quoted above, hehe.

I knew you were smart! I really appreciate all the help you have given me over the past year. It's been really nice to know I can get answers to questions here. :)

Another PS - those lawyers are purely collection lawyers. They fall under FDCPA, and that will come in handy later, hehe.

Slamowitz??????? You can slam his wits, LOL.

Seriously, if that were my name, I would have to change it.

This is the best post I've seen in a long time. No posturing, no egos, just one fellow human being helping out another. You go Breeze and Erica.

I missed his post earlier, but keepmine was giving good advice - as usual :)
