I just received my Providian MC in the mail...$1k limit. I want another increase...instantly. What should I say? Anyone have the # for retention? Or is it the same.
The retention number is 800-215-7318. Be fair though and if they won't give you a credit line increase on a card you've had for all of one day, don't be too hard on them!

The past couple of years I've been too flabbergasted that anyone actually approved me to have the cajones to do something like you just did. I know I'm going to have to break myself out of that mode.
Try it. What's the worst that can happen. I figure the worst they can do is say No! ;o) I just can't wait to get a pre-approve offer for a Platinum card or AMEX.
