hello everyone, here is my situation, i had an Omnipoint account, it is now owned by voicestream, I closed my account when omnipoint was in business, i sent them the check for the remaining balance and they cashed it and never credited my account, I now have the damn collection agency on my tail, i told them I paid and I even recieved a copy of the check from my bank as they do not send back the originals. I called voicestream and I am not in the system via a SS# search. I called the collection agency and they dont seem to interested in what I have to say or my copy of my check.... Does anyone have any advice for me..?? I would appreciate any ideas, Thanks, Mike
Send them (the Collection Agency) requesting validation of the account. Don't provide any information to them, don't call. Send it certified, return receipt requested with signature. Just wait. The more violations they commit, the better. And, what state is the collection agency in and what state are you in?
