I am sending my validation letters now. I need to know what I should do about "The Credit Store" and "FNB Brooking" reporting the same account on two different tradelines. How should I go about the validation process on this one? Further when the time comes how do I dispute? It would seem that I would have to do double disputing work since it is two different tradelines, but I think that it's unfair because it is the same account number. Please Help... Also they are reporting different dates about a month apart. One more thing, NCO keeps making hard inquiries on my account. How do I dispute since they have a collection account on my Credit Report. Any Help.....Please.....
Dejavu...I'm going to take a wild stab at this. 1) I'm going to assume your FNB Brooking tradline has been written-off/collection? 2) Your Credit Store tradline has zero balance and states purchased from so&so? 3) As for NCO Scum, I just disputed there inquires as not permissible(spelling).You can do that online. Now on the assumption that FNB Brooking tradline is written-off, Credit Store is the one that is updating that entry under FNB Brooking name to verify this check the addresses under both companies in the credit report it should be the same. Also I call Credit Store Directly and they admit to reporting under there name was told to some effect that they can legally do this..hmmmm Anyways I'm currently working on disputing this tradline aswell, from the helpful advice from others who've had dealings with them is to use validation letter send it directly to Credit Store not the CRA's. As for NCO send them a validation letter also, assuming you didn't make any payments to them yet. In my experience they have a very hard time validating anything, takes a little patience(spelling?)with them as they tend to stall alot.
