A CA was assigned to collect some state taxes that my state thought I owed. Well I got the state to finally realize that I do not actually owe these taxes and they ended up owing me money. I have documentation from the state and a refund check from the state. The CA stopped calling and I have sent a validation letter that has not been answered so far. Today I notice that they put a hard inquiry on my Equifax report back in November, not sure why I didnt see it before, but there it is. Do I have any grounds to file suit againse the CA for this inquiry? Thanks in advance

Ok, I guess I need to figure out what my next step is. I guess it is to send a letter of settlement? If I file I am not sure who I list as a defendant, etc.

GC Services... I cannot find a registered agent in my state CO. Their site has an address TBD. They list a phone and fax number for OK. Should I send settlement to this fax number? Or should I go to their headquarters in Houston TX?
