Need Help with Cingular

    PLEASE!! I NEED HELP WITH CINGULAR WIRELESS!!

    Hey guys I am new to creditnet, and I need help with my cingular Wireless chargeoff. I already made the mistake of paying the bill after it was charged of without talking to them about taking it off my credit report. Anyone have suggestions on how to get it off. This thing is really hurting my score!!

    What collection agency had it.....was it Allied Interstate?

    I am not sure what collection agency had it, is there a difference, I mean do they handle them different?

    First thing to do is dispute it with the CRAs as 'not mine'.

    Also, check your credit report to see if they re-aged the tradeline when you paid it. The charge off date should be 180 days after the date of the first late pay that lead to the chargeoff.

    If they did re-age it, you have a valid attack on the creditor.

    But, definately try the dispute with the CRAs first, like radiohead said.
