Citi closed my account cause I didnt score high enough on some test they do on their accounts. Regardless of the fact I paid ontime and only used the card as backup for big purchases....like oral surgery and property taxes. Citi closes down my online account where I make payments. Citi doesnt send me a paper statement. Next month.... Citi charges me a late fee and jacks my APR up to 29.99% Call Citi and they remove late fee but I have to make the minimum payment of $300. Told that once over-the-phone check clears the APR will drop back down. Check clears Next month.... APR is STILL at 29.99% Am now being told because I didnt make 12 consecutive payments ontime they cannot drop my apr. Remind them its CITI's fault I didnt get a statement. Get a rude supervior who tolds me "we did send you a statement. not our fault you didnt get it. its your job to know when your payments are due." I remind her that they took away my reminder when they closed out my online account (along with other choice words) Told me that I she would put it on my account that I would not be making a payment. Told her to put it on my account, tattoo it on her a$$ for all I care Im not going to be paying for THEIR mistake. Now, I know I have to make a payment as to not prevent a domino effect and yes it was kinda mean that I snapped on her. And since she claimed she was the "end all and be all of that department" does anyone know of a specific department to talk to? Should I make the total minimum payment even though I cant afford it and its reflective of an APR i shouldnt have to pay? Any other options? I was avised to balance transfer it, but I do not have enough money on my other card.
She's shaking that tattoo in your face. You can try writing the CEO.I would try to do it without any tattoo remarks. You must remember they hear I didn't get a statement everyday from other customers who did get a statement, that's why when you talked to the first csr should have got their name. What they did is not right but they do it everyday.
I'd write to the General Counsel as well. You may have more luck there--that's their top corporate attorney. I don't know if PlanetFeedback is still in existence or not. That used to work for contacting the executive offices.
If you don't make the minimum payment on time, you will be getting more late fees. If you are going to dispute something, you need to follow the rules exactly.
