Kristy, do you know if the individual sent a validation letter or cease communications letter? Or did they just ignore knowing it was past the SOL? breeze
I just clicked on your link and I couldn't help reading this...{chuckle, chuckle} http://www.creditinfocenter.com/creditreports/scoring/scoringinfluencesondates.shtml
Well, I believe the correct sequence to getting the inquiry removed is to send the validation letter, to start the paper trail. then when they don't validate, you pursue them because they can't (technically) do anything to you if they can't validate the debt as yours. So, the inquiry had no permissible purpose - they would have to remove the inquiry. But you have to start the paper trail and build the case in writing before you go after them to remove it. I know there are some others here who have successfully dealt with this. Keep bumping the post to the top until one of them sees it, they can probably give better step by step advice. breeze
one more thing The SOL has nothing to do with it, really, except that this individual has nothing to fear and can go after them hard. breeze
