Hello all-I don't know if there's anything I can do but could really use some advice!

I recently purchased my first home--so first mortgage. I had some credit issues but in the process of getting the loan took care of all of them. There were some collections (most of them small amounts) and some judgements. All of these have been satisfied. Now, I really NEED to refinance--my payments are high. But even though these obligations have all been satisfied, they do still appear on my report (as satisfied) so they are still bringing my score down! I realize that it's also down because of the amount of the new loan so it appears that I am in large debt until I get that paid down a little more. My question is this; is there anyway to get those satisfied collections, judgements, etc. taken off of my credit report and fast? I really need to get refinanced but my score has falled BELOW 500! Do I have any options? Does anyone know of anyone who can help me?

first you can try to dispute these accounts with the Credit Reporting Agencies. if they want to know why you paid these accounts then tell them its because you were buying a house and didn't know better so you just paid them without know if they were yours. if they dont take them off then you just have to "nicely ask" the collectors companies if they could please remove the accounts from your credit file since you satisfied the debt.
also supposedly a mortgage doesnt affect your credit scores if you owe a lot unless you got a special loan like 80/20 where part of the mortgage is a HELOC or open line of credit where it would sky rocket your utilization.

Since you are in a hurry, I would try a two pronged attack on the paids (except the judgment).

    1. Send out the nutcase to the paid collections CRRR. Once received, dispute with the CRA's (just like in validation). Hopefully, since they are paid they just won't mess with it and delete.

    2. Judgment - now that you have a new address, get the old ones off your file. Helps make it harder to verify. Then try simple not mine disputes.
